The Methuen Federal Credit Union Scholarship Program is proud to award three $1,500 scholarships to deserving students this year.

In addition, one $1,500 scholarship will be awarded in memory of Arthur Nicholson III. Arthur, known to many as “Mr. Nick,” was a lifelong Methuen educator who dedicated himself to serving the community. Beyond his work in education, he was actively involved in countless Methuen organizations and served for many years as Chairman of the Board at Methuen Federal Credit Union. This memorial scholarship honors his legacy of leadership, service, and commitment to the Methuen community.

Information regarding eligibility for the scholarships is listed below:

  • Eligibility is limited to high school seniors who will be enrolled in an undergraduate college degree program during the 2026-2027 academic year.
  • Applicant or parent/guardian must be a member in good standing with the Methuen Federal Credit Union.
  • Each applicant must complete the Scholarship Application Form and submit it with the other required material to the Methuen Credit Union.

Students must submit all of the following items along with their completed applications. Please note that every requested item must be received for the application to qualify for consideration.

  • A typewritten essay of at least 250 words describing what career you wish to pursue when you complete your education and why you chose that path.
  • An official academic transcript of grades through at least Quarter 2 of the 2025-2026 school year.
  • A detailed list of extracurricular, community, and/or volunteer activities.
  • Deadline to submit an application is May 1, 2026.
